Fashion Assistant Volunteer for London Fashion Week Shows

Commitment

Key Dates: 9 and 17th of February 2024 (with considerations to remote working on other agreeable dates)

Our Fashion Assistant Volunteers will support our Senior Managers in the show preparations from providing excellent customer service, to assisting backstage to venue set up for the show.

Location: Central London 

To be a successful candidate you will;

· Be over 16 years old

· Trustworthy and reliable

· Have good communication skills

· Be well-presented

· Have good interpersonal skills

· Have the ability to handle money

· Have a good level of physical fitness

· Have respect for the policies of MoQueen

· Be able to support the overall aim of MoQueen

Key activities

–  Assist with telephoning and emailing designers, brands, sponsors, and press as assigned 

–  Ongoing communications with designers and their assistants/PR 

–  Event Ticket coordination and communication 

–  Press support 

–  Goodie Bag ordering and coordination before, during and after the shows

–  Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate; 

–  Assist with castings and coordination of volunteer staff rota 

–  Support dealing with email correspondence and enquiries about the event 

–  Communicating with show organisers from Paris, New York and London

– Assisting with the event and associated parties as assigned including models, hair stylists, makeup artists and team

–  Producing Word and Excel documents where appropriate 

–  Volunteering is flexible, travel may be required between London and Milton Keynes which is 30 minutes from London Euston 

–  Support social media updates, video and image edits  

–  Assist as directed by Senior Managers

During shows, assist with

– ushering guest photographers to allocated sections, inside and outside the building and, checking guest names on the guest list
– guest parking with no obstructions to neighbour entrances and directing guests to nearest parking areas
– welcoming Guests with complimentary, standard, general ticket holders and/or assigned by a Senior manager
– banner red carpet backdrop and photos 

Backstage
– Assist Designers, Hair, Makeup and Project Teams and cleaning and tidying up, organising and carefully looking after designer collections

– Organising with snacks, fruits and drinks for backstage staff

General
– Support venue preparations, cleaning and tidying up as per the maintenance checklist before, during and after the show

– To provide excellent customer service, support with sales and ushering guests leaving the venue

– To support and act as an ambassador for the brand at all times 

Skills and experience

· Confident candidate with good communication skills

· Pleasant manner, both face-to-face and on the telephone

· Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise

· Good literacy and numeracy skills

· A great team player

· Ability to treat with confidentiality any information which is personal, private or sensitive
